100W Plus Sub-Ohm

Best Sub-Ohm Box Mods 100W Or Higher

The following mods represent the most popular sub-ohm box mods currently available based on sales and customer reviews. They aren’t the best box mods per se but only the top 5 in this high-output class.

And, I have to tell you, people really, really dig these. I have a personal story to relate about one of these – a good deed kind of story – that I think you’ll get a kick out of. I’ll tell you in a minute, but let’s look at a couple of these first since that’s really why you’re here.

Okay – so, if you want something with lower wattage as many of us are totally cool with, there are many other great models, some from Innokin, Joyetech, and other popular brands. As for this list, you will see products by Wismec, Sigelei, Pioneer4You, Eleaf, and Laisimo.

Sigelei T150

Sigelei.com T150 Mod

It’s obvious what attracts audiences to this stunning Sigelei product: the screen. Everyone loves that! Touchscreen technology is so familiar to most people that it seems more natural than pressing buttons; as though they’re old-fashioned. And I confess that I’ve been called old-fashioned before. So maybe that’s why I’m comfortable with this one. I’m not the only one who feels like the touchscreen is a positive feature – easy to read (for those of us who may need brighter screens or just find them easier to read, in general.)

The T150 features VW and TC settings but that’s not what makes Sigelei’s beautiful vaporizer so immensely popular. It would do well without the touchscreen, but this feature truly doe place it in the top of its class. Add that to the already stellar Sigelei name, and you’ve got a clear winner.

And then, we add benefits like the capacity to support 0.1-ohm TC coils and a range of 5W to 150W and there you have it – you’ve got a great device on your hands. You’ll need to add a couple of 18650 batteries. The T150 protects vapers from damage caused by a short circuit, problems with resistance or voltage, and from getting too hot.

Pioneer4You iPV5 200W

Pioneer4you iPV5 200W TC

Pioneer4You’s 200W TC mod takes you to the next and highest level this Chinese manufacturer supplies. These guys are so totally at the top of the game when it comes to staying on top of technology which, as you know, is changing as fast as I change my preferences in e-liquids. Which is often. Implementing the best Yihi chipset currently available, you can now blow the biggest clouds of your iPV career. Or, even if you’re not what you’d consider a “career” or regular vaper, you’re going to like this beauty. I love the sleek build of this device, its comfortable and simple design, but functionality is its biggest selling point. And, at the end of the day, function seems to be one of the things we come back to again and again.

Choose 10W to 200W, 10J to 120J, up to 572F, and a low of 0.05 ohms. Two batteries are needed to operate your high-powered unit from Pioneer4You, removable for independent and wireless recharging. The Yihi chip allows you to operate the iPV5 using all TC coils: stainless steel, nickel 200, and titanium.

There’s one user who insists that he’s had all the versions of the iPV since the 2 was released, and he says that he has never been disappointed. Again, the high quality of the Yihi chips are touted again and again.  While this model is similar in size to the iPV4, it is a bit larger than the 3 – so if you were used to vaping on that, you’ll see that the 5 is a little bit taller and wider. The 3 is a single, and the 5 is a dual. Just want you to be aware that this one has a little more heft if you were getting ready to upgrade to the 5.

Eleaf iStick TC 100W

iStick TC100W Black

As vapers await the release of Eleaf’s iStick TC 200, they aren’t disappointed by the performance of its predecessor. Who could be? Both items offer TCR, VW, and TC settings. They feature the balanced appearance of a system with two rounded sides where batteries are contained. Eleaf’s iStick 100W can be operated with just one battery to achieve 75W or both cells for full 100W output.

The screen, a black strip down the center of its face, displays temperature, volts, watts, and resistance in bright, clear text. It’s hard not to like this, and I personally know a guy  at work who is 100% happy with the TC100 that he’s been vaping on for a few months. It’s funny, but I asked him why he doesn’t want a 200, or to try another mod, and he said it’s like once you find a certain comfort level and you’re happy with it, why upgrade? And I guess I can understand that. Of course, because I’m a little fanatical about this, I have to keep testing and trying new stuff. But, like I said, my buddy loves this iStick, and has no intention of moving on to anything else (at least for now!).

Wismec Presa TC100W

Wismec Presa TC100w Mods

The Presa supplies temperature control and variable watt vaping in a slender, unusually shaped format that adopts one of the industry’s most ergonomic profiles. Whenever I see something that has a different, or even remotely unusual shape, it catches my eye. And, of course, the Presa is one of them. Actually, it kind of surprises me that more manufacturers don’t experiment with changing up the shapes. You can go as high as 100W, depicted on a large OLED screen, or up to 600F. The screen also shows if the battery is running out of power, voltage, and resistance.

Select the TC setting in order to use an atomizer containing temperature-sensitive nickel, stainless steel, or titanium heating elements. TCR (Temperature Coefficient of Resistance) is available for supreme accuracy or you can switch to Bypass with your Presa.

Install either a large or small high drain battery (18650 or 26650), determining your potential output by the cell’s size (up to 75W or 100W). Although batteries are removable, internal recharging via USB is an option. All sorts of safety features are supplied by an impressive control chip. This is a very affordable unit, coming in at under $40 for the most part, which is a nice enticement right there.

Laisimo S3 200W TC

Laisimo S3 200W TC

At 102 mm, the S3 is a little bigger than the Presa, but it has to be. The Laisimo supplies more power – constant power, versus pulse, so it needs more room for batteries. Laisimo makes innovative use of space by installing their screen on the top next to the atomizer well where vapers naturally look anyway; it’s right under their gaze all the time. This clear display rotates too. Now, is this necessary (the rotating display, that is)? Maybe not. But does it matter? This is another model that falls right about in the $40 range or thereabouts, so not a bad price.

Choose a wattage value somewhere in the vast spectrum between 5 watts and 200 watts or between 212F and 662F in the variable temperature setting using appropriate coils as above. A magnetically-sealed enclosure holds two batteries, sold separately, and removable for recharging.

Okay, so now that we’ve looked at a few of these mods, I have to tell you this wild story! A few weeks back, a buddy & I were down at a fairly popular outdoor bar & restaurant on the waterfront where we hang sometimes when we’re on the coast on business or our families vacation. We had decided ride on down on our bicycles since we figured we could get a good bike ride in (to work off the couple of beers that we were going to have during the restaurant’s happy hour) – and it really is a nice ride on a good day. As long as the wind is at our backs on the ride back, that is.

Anway, we had just finished up, and realized we needed to head out while it was still light out so we could get back before dark. As we were cycling our of the parking lot, we were behind a car that had “something” on the top of the car – you know how some people leave cups, keys, phones on top of the car? So, I looked, and said, “Wow! His box mod is sitting on top of the car, and he’s driving away!” This thing was standing straight up – like he’d taken a puff while getting ready to open the door, and set the mod on the roof. Obviously, he’d forgotten that he had placed it there. So, my buddy and I were cycling behind him – this must have looked bizarre from anyone still sitting at the bar, looking out – and we were cycling as fast as we could before he accelerated – yelling out, “Hey! Wait! Dude! Wait! Stop!! Waving at him wildly the whole time. The guy stopped, and we pulled up, pointing to the top of the car saying, ‘Dude! Your mod is on top of the car!”

You should have seen the look on the driver’s face – totally wondering what we were talking about – but he stopped. My buddy pulled his bike up beside the car, grabbed the mod, and handed it to the guy – who was VERY thankful. Like, “Dude, thank you so much! I don’t know what I’d do if I lost that!” He talked about how much these things cost and how he’d be totally bummed if he’d lost it especially since he didn’t have any other vaping supplies with him.

It was either the Sigelei or Pioneer4You – I didn’t get as close a look at it as my friend, but he thought it was probably an iPV5 since it had a bit more heft than some of these.

Anyway, I thought you might get a kick out of hearing that story. And, of course we felt pretty good doing the good deed, because it would have definitely been a bummer for the guy in the car. Imagine just a few years ago, people leaving their coffee on top of the car; now we’re leaving our mods! Ha ha!
